1.6A動態電池充電器/電源管理芯片

動態供電電源
AAT3670通(tong)過在電(dian)源、電(dian)池和系(xi)(xi)統(tong)之(zhi)間同時進(jin)行功率的(de)分(fen)配(pei)(pei)管理,可為(wei)系(xi)(xi)統(tong)負載提(ti)供動態的(de)供電(dian)電(dian)源。如果系(xi)(xi)統(tong)負載電(dian)流(liu)大于來自AC適配(pei)(pei)器或(huo)USB端口可提(ti)供的(de)輸(shu)入電(dian)源電(dian)流(liu),AAT3670可以(yi)從電(dian)池中(zhong)供應(ying)額外所需。
一個電(dian)(dian)(dian)壓(ya)(ya)感應電(dian)(dian)(dian)荷抑制回路(voltage-sensing charge reducTIon loop)對AC適配器和USB的輸(shu)入電(dian)(dian)(dian)壓(ya)(ya)進行(xing)(xing)監控,并且根據(ju)系統負載電(dian)(dian)(dian)流所(suo)需(xu)多(duo)少,對電(dian)(dian)(dian)池的充電(dian)(dian)(dian)電(dian)(dian)(dian)流進行(xing)(xing)阻截,從而自動防止電(dian)(dian)(dian)壓(ya)(ya)下跌。此功能僅通過自動調節充電(dian)(dian)(dian)電(dian)(dian)(dian)流到(dao)某(mou)一限(xian)度就能保(bao)持輸(shu)入源電(dian)(dian)(dian)壓(ya)(ya)的完整性(xing),同時還確保(bao)了系統的連續運(yun)行(xing)(xing),并用最(zui)短(duan)的時間對電(dian)(dian)(dian)池進行(xing)(xing)充電(dian)(dian)(dian)。
在重負載狀態下,芯片的內部溫度有可能升高(根據PCB的具體設計情況)。傳統的熱保護電路只是簡單地將熱源關閉。由于AAT3670可向系統提供工作電源,這樣的關閉會被認為是一個故障狀況,所以是不能被允許的。因此,AAT3670內置一個數字熱控回路,它可以測量內部晶圓片的溫度,還可以在晶圓片溫度超出極限值時,降低充電電流。由于不關閉電池充電器,此數字熱控回(hui)路會根(gen)據(ju)一(yi)系(xi)列的運行狀況,將充電(dian)(dian)電(dian)(dian)流保持最大。
對使用AC適配器(qi)進行充(chong)電時,AAT3670所提(ti)供的電池(chi)充(chong)電電流可以(yi)調到(dao)1.6A;對使用USB高電壓充(chong)電,可調到(dao)0.9A;對使用USB低(di)電壓充(chong)電,可調到(dao)0.1A。低(di)的“電池(chi)到(dao)系(xi)統”(battery-to-system)阻抗可以(yi)將(jiang)功(gong)耗和(he)電壓余量(liang)(voltage headroom)保持最小。
AAT3670可監控電池在各種故障狀態下的溫度和充電狀況,這些故障包括過電壓、短路和超溫。在故障發生時,充電器能夠自動關閉以保(bao)護充(chong)電(dian)(dian)(dian)設(she)備(bei)、控(kong)制系統和電(dian)(dian)(dian)池(chi)。一個電(dian)(dian)(dian)池(chi)充(chong)電(dian)(dian)(dian)器的(de)(de)(de)計時(shi)器同樣可以在超出(chu)用(yong)戶所(suo)設(she)置的(de)(de)(de)充(chong)電(dian)(dian)(dian)時(shi)長(chang)的(de)(de)(de)情況下終止充(chong)電(dian)(dian)(dian),從而保(bao)護了電(dian)(dian)(dian)池(chi)和系統。兩個狀(zhuang)態(tai)監控(kong)輸(shu)出(chu)引腳可通過外(wai)接的(de)(de)(de)LED(發光二極管)來指示(shi)電(dian)(dian)(dian)池(chi)充(chong)電(dian)(dian)(dian)狀(zhuang)態(tai)。
